Throughout life there are many times when families gather together. The majority of those times are filled with happiness, and are the things that memories are made of. But as we make the journey through life all of us are aware that death comes to all. For some it is after a full, productive life but for some it comes early and takes from the midst of us a young life.

A funeral is used to mark the end of a person's life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God's keeping. This can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion in a packed church.

Everyone is entitled to a funeral in church or to have a service elsewhere taken by their local parish priest regardless of whether they attended church or not. Speak to the church office on 01274 775885 for more information.
